"A corto di libri" International AIB/IFLA Short Film Contest Award Ceremony
15 May 2016
On Sunday May 15, at 15:30, at the Turin International Book Fair (sala Professionali), the winners of the 8th AIB/IFLA International Short Film Contest - A Corto di Libri - will be announced and receive the awards.
The contest is organized by Associazione Italiana Biblioteche (AIB) and, for the first time, by the IFLA Section on Metropolitan Libraries, in collaboration with Del Vecchio editore, Gallucci editore, MediaLibraryOnline, Regione Umbria, under the auspices of the Centro per il Libro e la Lettura.
The contest has three sections: fiction, advertising and documentary. One of the winners of the three sections will be awarded the grand prize. A new category, "Metropolitan Libraries", was added by IFLA this year, in order to award short films about public libraries in large metropolitan areas.
29 entries were submitted from Argentina, Australia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Ivory Coast, Czech Republic, Spain, Sweden and United Kingdom. The good quality and high creativity of all the films made the decisions of the international jury, chaired by film critic Fabio Melelli, an uneasy but exciting task.
All the videos will be available in the YouTube channel acortodilibri.
